In this Electric Semi Truck section, we hope to provide you with news and info regarding the Electric Semi Truck Market. We will also feature the pros and cons of running an electric powertrain.
Still, a long way to go for electric Fleets.
Electric Semi still has a long way to go until they are the predominant class 8 type in the highways. Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) put the number of Class 1-8 trucks at 33.8 million. Until the big truck stops accommodate more Electric trucks with charging stations, it’s hard to see long-haul companies dedicating entire fleets to Electric-type trucks.  But for local fleets, it’s a no-brainer.
Who are the Electric Semi Truck manufacturers?

Volvo AB
