Category: freight forwarding

A freight forwarder is an intermediary between the company who makes the shipment and the final destination for the goods. They don’t actually carry out the shipments themselves, but they do offer different transport modes such as sea/ocean freight, rail freight, road transport and air freight shipment. As an intermediary between shippers and carriers, they negotiate better prices with their contacts from different transport modes. This allows them to provide more competitive offers than if you were dealing directly with carriers or other logistics providers.
