An investigation is underway to see if a Tennessee Towing Company Illegally Targets Truckers.
As if trucking wasn’t difficult enough, a towing company in Tennessee is making things even more challenging. Some say a A-1 Towing company has been illegally towing and booting semi trucks, causing a major headache for trucking companies and owner/operators. But the state of Tennessee has finally taken notice and is stepping up to put a stop to the company’s activities.
One Alabama-based trucking company described how their driver was towed within minutes of parking. The company was left with the costly burden of retrieving their truck and trailer, which had been towed by A-1 Towing. It’s practices like these that have finally caught the attention of the state of Tennessee.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security have joined forces with the Memphis Police’s Criminal Investigation Division to investigate A-1 Towing’s activities. The investigation will hopefully put an end to the towing company’s tactics, which have been causing undue hardship for trucking companies and owner/operators.
