Spot rates are at their lowest point since early 2021.

As demand for goods continues to dip across the U.S., truckers have also slowed down in time for what’s usually considered peak season.

According to a fourth quarter market update by Uber Freight, demand is subdued while inventory levels remain high. This, combined with a rising number of trucks and drivers, is pushing freight rates down, on both the contracted and spot sides of the market.
