This year, CMV inspectors will focus on wheel ends.International Road check is a 72hr high visibility, high-volume commercial motor vehicle inspection, and enforcement initiative. Each year the CVSA focuses on a specific aspect of the roadside inspection.
According to the CVSA, violations involving wheel end components historically account for about one-quarter of the vehicle out-of-service violations discovered during International Roadcheck. In addition, past International Roadcheck data routinely found wheel end components in the top 10 of vehicle violations.
